Second Wind Inc. Announces New VP of Operations

Wind Energy Company Welcomes Larry Letteney, Former President of HubCast

Larry Letteney Somerville, MA – Larry Letteney of Wellesley, Mass. has joined Second Wind Inc. as the new Vice President of Operations.

In his new position, Letteney will provide leadership and process support in scaling the Second Wind business. This includes overseeing production, operations and customer support and product and technology.

Letteney brings to Second Wind 20 years of experience in software, firmware and web services for start-up, mid-stage and public technology companies. He most recently served as President of HubCast, a global web-based service for expedited delivery of color managed digital print. Letteney successfully assembled a team of experts to build key technology for the company, and led efforts to establish production throughout 20 countries.

Prior to this, Letteney helped to transform Creo, an OEM manufacturer of digital print process equipment, into a successful product and services company. He led Creo Americas, a $250M division with over 5,000 customers. He was successful in stimulating sales growth, overseeing acquisitions, mergers and new market expansion that led the ultimate sale of Creo to Eastman Kodak Company for $980M.

Walter Sass, President of Second Wind Inc., said that the combination of technology and business experience that Larry brings to the table is unmatched.

"We are seeing opportunities for growth in many facets of the wind industry, and Larry has the knowledge and ability to help us scale up to meet the increasing demand for our technologies," Sass said.

Letteney noted that once companies start to move into a high gear of growth they tend to attract people that have had business success in other places; his knowledge working with technology and refining business practices has prepared him for Second Wind.

"My experience in software start-up, hardware, business strategy and market development has set the stage for me to work with the technology that Second Wind has to offer," he said. "You might say that the last 13 years of my professional life have been spent developing the experience needed to deliver Triton to the marketplace."
