Technology and renewable energy entrepreneur Per Suneby joins Second Wind board of directors

Leading wind energy technology company taps Fortune 500 and startup veteran

BOSTON, MA, May 18, 2010 — Executive and entrepreneur Per Suneby has joined the Second Wind board of directors, bringing more than 30 years of experience in technology, renewable energy and venture capital to the company, Second Wind announced today.

Suneby said he was drawn to Second Wind's 30 years of experience, management team and unique technology, which add up to a strong position in a market that's poised for significant growth.

Suneby's experience spans start-up and Fortune 500 companies, including Indus River Networks, Chantry Networks, Motorola, and General Electric. Most recently he has embraced sustainability technology as executive chairman of LiquidPiston, Inc., a developer of multi-fuel internal combustion engines that are dramatically more fuel-efficient than conventional engines. In addition to multiple CEO and chairman roles, Suneby's executive management experience includes product strategy and market positioning, business development, and mergers and acquisitions. He has also served as an investment professional as a venture partner and executive-in-residence at the venture capital firm Flagship Ventures.
