Anemometers
Second Wind offers a wide range of wind anemometers designed to meet the needs of many different wind assessment projects.
SWI C3 Anemometer
The C3 Anemometer is an improved version of the popular three-cup anemometer design used in wind assessments for decades, manufactured to precise industry standards. The Model C3 rotor is made of tough polycarbonate for exceptional durability and reliability. The Model C3 sensor base is also made of rugged polycarbonate, making it more resistant to damage during installation.
The C3 is available with Measnet calibration, and calibrated in the MIT Wind Tunnel. In addition, customers with their own calibration capability can purchase an uncalibrated option.
RM Young 27106T Propeller Anemometer
Used for vertical measurement with a distant constant of 2.1 meters and a threshold sensitivity of 0.4 m/s. Can be installed by Second Wind Inc. on mounting booms for lattice and tube towers. This is a special order item ($515).
WindSensor P2546A Cup Anemometer
Sturdy anemometer constructed from durable materials for accurate wind speed measurement. This anemometer, formerly manufactured by Risø, is widely used for power curve measurements. Can be installed by Second Wind Inc. on mounting booms for lattice and tube towers. Second Wind now stocks MEASNET calibrated WindSensor anemometers for faster, more convenient delivery.
Vector Anemometers
Second Wind offers several instruments from Vector Anemometers.
