60 Meter Meteorological Tower Systems
Second Wind offers 60-meter systems for
an advanced site assessment. All packages include a Nexgen HiMast
tower, a Nomad® 2 data logger, and all necessary sensors, hardware,
and software. Just choose your preferred communications option
and you're ready to go. Gin poles and anchors are sold separately
because of the differing needs of individual sites.
 The
Nexgen HiMast Tower
Second Wind Inc. distributes the HiMast Tilt-Up
Tower in North America. The Nexgen (formerly
Western Windpower) 60-meter HiMasts are the most robust tilt-up
towers on the market. These towers are designed to withstand the
harshest of conditions. They're easy to erect and dismantle and
are lightweight to allow for easy transportation. Years of experience
manufacturing and erecting tilt-up towers can be seen in the details
of these towers. From the hot-dipped galvanized structural-grade
steel to the extra reinforcement at the base of the tower, these
towers will stand strong in high winds and icy conditions. The
addition of a mini-gin pole, the tighter fit of the tubes, and the
number and position of the guys all contribute to a straight and
easy lift.

Complete Nomad 2 60 Meter Tower System
This stand alone system contains all the basics for
a complete wind study, including the Nomad
2 Wind Data Logger, six anemometers, and two wind vanes. Data are
collected to Compact Flash cards. Two cards are included so that they
may be swapped out in the field and brought back to the office for
data analysis.
