Important Features

Integrated Data
Release 3 of the Phaser® software adds Energy and Demand metering functions to the Phaser's complement of measurement functions. 90 new network accessible registers provide everything from per-phase current hours to four-quadrant VAR hours. Demand Intervals are programmable from 1 to 60 minutes. Registers can be automatically reset or stored using the programmable clock feature.

The integrated data set includes the most asked for metering information. 30 types of integrated measurements are available, each of which are associated with 3 pairs of network-addressable 16-bit registers. Additionally, because many of these operations make use of real time, Phaser now incorporates a mechanism for real time keeping which can be set and read by network commands. Integrated register data will be retained even during a power failure or momentary power loss with the Phaser's expanded non-volatile RAM technology.

Loss Compensation
Phaser Loss Compensation processing adds four Result Registers to the set of slow (one second) Results Registers: Compensated Real Power, Compensated Reactive Power, Loss Real Power, and Loss Reactive Power. Read more about Loss Compensation (pdf) here.

Vector Reactive Power
Vector Reactive Power and Polyphase Vector Reactive Power are unique measurements unavailable in traditional polyphase measurement devices. These measurements provide a more accurate view of electrical system loading and are, therefore, important tools in the operation and control of the electrical network. The Phaser Display Module
The Phaser Display Module provides a local display of up to 60 variables measured or calculated by the Phaser. The PhaserConfigTM software program allows you to choose which variables and how many of them to display. Panel buttons on the front of the Display Module enable you to cycle though the data. Multiple pages of information can be displayed and display times can also be adjusted to suit your needs in increments of 1, 2, 4, 8, or 16 seconds. PhaserConfig and PhaserView Software
Configuration of your Phaser is easy with your laptop and our PhaserConfig software. Set your choice of PTs, CTs and wiring -- never worry about 2, 2 1/2 or 3 elements again! Digital scaling makes every measurement make sense. Need the data at your smart RTU or SCADA system? No problem! Phaser speaks ModBus and DNP.

PhaserView software can be used to view and export your data to spreadsheet applications such as MS Excel. View data on your computer via the local RS-232 serial port or network. PhaserView displays all the latest one-second averages of the 56 electrical variables Phaser continuously calculates, as well as the per-phase input currents and voltages, unscaled by CT and PT ratios. Data can be viewed in normal units or as unscaled decimal or hexadecimal representations of Phaser's results registers. PhaserView saves all data automatically scales, identified by name and units, and time-stamped based on your computer's date and time.
